Meet the creator of Ekposé Beauty

Anna Ekpo, a St. Louis, Missouri native, is a lover of beauty, a makeup brush enthusiast, an adjunct law professor, an attorney, a certified life coach, and the creator of Ekposé (Ek-poe-zay) Beauty.  Anna loves glamour and style, and has spent years experimenting with cosmetics and skin care.  As a former makeup artist, Anna has used numerous beauty products at various price points, from high-end prestige products to drugstore products.  Anna’s makeup background has been invaluable in helping her to curate high quality products at a competitive price.

Ekposé Beauty is an extension of Anna’s love for makeup, she considers it her passion project. For Anna, makeup is a creative outlet, and art therapy for the soul. She enjoys sharing her own natural and natural glam makeup looks, and product reviews on her Instagram page, @ekposeeyes.

Anna’s mother, Ann, had a huge impact on Anna’s love of cosmetics. Anna’s mother was her primary beauty influence - her very own beauty icon. Although her mother passed away many years ago, her influence left its mark.  Ekposé Beauty launched on January 10, 2020, to pay homage to Ann’s January 10th birthday. The launch date, and its origins, inspired Ekposé Beauty’s tag line, The Rebirth of Iconic Beauty. In her beloved mother's honor,  Anna created the “Beauty is Her Name” Lipstick.

At launch, Ekposé Beauty offered eyeshadow, brushes and tools, and mink eyelashes. When the coronavirus pandemic forced nail salons to close nationwide, Anna envisioned an alternative for women with limited access. On April 20, 2020, Anna expanded her product offerings to the Instant Mani, a line of luxury press on nails. Though she didn’t anticipate offering press ons, the Instant Mani was an instant hit among women who were looking for a way to maintain their manicures without a nail salon.

Anna firmly believes that true beauty is confidence, self-acceptance, and self-love that radiates from within. Anna curates cosmetics, makeup brushes and tools, and now press on nails, with the aim of making women feel beautiful, self-assured, and empowered to become the the best version of themselves.
